OEM Muti-Voltage Speaker Amplifier Board – from the GBE In-House Product range

Description

The GBS-AMPSPK1 enables the simple integration of a mono or stereo speaker amplifier system into a product and has a number of connection options for OEM use to provide some versatility.
The device can be powered by a regulated DC voltage supply from 5V-12V or from a 7-28V unregulated DC power supply.  Power option is set by on-board jumper selection. 

There is a choice to use a jack socket or PCB header to connect the amplifier to a power source.

The audio amplifier can drive a range of speakers, with an impedance of either 4 or 8-ohms. GBE can supply the device with their recommended 100mm, 8-ohm Visaton speaker – both shielded and unshielded available. See below for more details.

The unit comes with a 3.5mm stereo jack plug cable assembly for audio input, or PCB headers can be used instead for direct wiring.

This product enables the OEM to design in a speaker amplifier system that is stable, robust and reliable. As GBE currently use it in two of their OEM products, it also has a long forecast lifecycle.

GBE designed this product as they needed a stable design to integrate into their BloodTrack® Kiosk to achieve FDA and TUV certification for the product. The main issue with using a third party design was that these continually changed, which was not suitable for TUV/UL certification.
