As the look, feel and Human User Interface (HUI) are the key points to most product designs; it makes the choice of LCD display critical to the success of a product. GBE are able to assist with LCD specification and sourcing from chip-on-glass and PDA style QVGA LCDs through to customised TFT displays with fully integrated touchscreen. This includes specifying device drivers and writing firmware to operate your display unit. Anti-glare screens and suitable emission reducing material can also be specified and supplied.
To develop user and valuable market data, GBE can also design and assemble prototype units which will provide a good indication of how the product will operate. Ahead of any prototype design a PC based emulator may be supplied to assist with HUI design and development. Key operating features can then be addressed; such as accessing if the display is suitable for the environment in which the final product is intended.
